Doo-pashkishok lii Padrii

Doo-pashkishok lii Padrii! or Go Shoot Some Partridges! in process sharing

produced by The Southern Michif Players with support from Prairies to Woodlands Indigenous Revitalization Circle

A group of Michif langauge learners gathered under the guidance of teachers and language speakers to create what may have been the first ever theatrical piece created entirely in Michif from Michif source material. We adapted a language learning short story that had been written by Heather Souter to create an experience that was learning for those who participated and created as well as those who witnessed. The audience feedback was resoundingly positive, confirming that this kind of work is integral for the future of the Métis Nation and Michif language revitalization. Stay tuned for further development!
