creation
director | facilitator | creator | producer | clown
I began my artistic journey as a performer and have now shifted to the role of director/facilitator. Although, I would say that creating and storytelling best describe what I do. I have held many roles on a variety of projects – clown, curator, director, deviser, creator, writer, performer, actor, and producer. In all the creative projects that I embark on I attempt to bring my full-self to the work and invite my collaborators to do the same. Asking: what are our lived, cultural, and ancestral experiences? I offer a uniquely and ever evolving decolonizing practice to my role as a creator.
I direct, create, and produce work independently and alongside theatre companies, schools, and festivals including The Centre for Indigenous Theatre, University Players, The Stratford Festival, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Nextfest, Edmonton International Fringe Festival, Theatre@York, and the University of Alberta. I have always been drawn to directing and dramaturging new-work and work in development, I’ve done this independently and with organizations including Buddies in Bad Times, The Theatre Centre, Roseneath Theatre, Gwaandak Theatre, Common Boots Theatre, and Theatre Aquarius.
